The statistics of military court cases in courts of Syunik region in the period of June-July 2016

Compared to previous months, in June-July 2016 in courts of General Jurisdiction of Syunik region, cases about military personnel started to take place intensively.

Within the framework of the project "Free legal aid to conscripts", monitoring activities are continuing in the courts by the Rights Information Center NGO.
According to the Judicial Information System (datalex.am), 150 cases were scheduled in the Courts of General Jurisdiction of Syunik region for the period of June-July 2016.
In the mentioned period, 71 cases took place. 43 cases out of 71 took place for the first time and they were mainly about the RA Criminal Code 177, 359, 358, 360, 364 part 1 articles.
As in previous months, in June-July 2016 the major obstacle about monitoring is the fact, that the trial is scheduled in Syunik region, but in general it takes place in Stepanakert.
